ABOUT THE TOUR
The coastal resort of Rothesay on the popular Isle of Bute attracts returning visitors year after year with its picturesque setting and relaxed atmosphere. From here we’ll visit the impressive Mount Stuart House and the vibrant city of Glasgow.
TOUR INCLUDES
Day 1:
Local departure by coach or Home Connect Service, before continuing to Scotland where we board the ferry to the Isle of Bute, and on to the Glenburn Hotel, Rothesay for four nights.

Day 2: Island Tour and Mount Stuart
Today we enjoy a circular tour of the panoramic Isle of Bute, taking in some truly stunning scenery such as Kilchattan Bay and Port Bannatyne. We then visit the beautiful Mount Stuart House, a spectacular Gothic building and the family seat of the Stuarts of Bute.
Included meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Day 3: At leisure or Tignabruaich
Relax in the hotel with a day at leisure, explore independently, or join us on our optional excursion which includes a scenic drive along the shores of Loch Riddon to arrive at the peaceful, loch-side village of Tignabruaich on the western Kyle with stunning views on a clear day over to the Isles of Bute and Arran.

After an early start, we make out way back to the port for our return ferry back to the mainland before continuing home.

Day 6: Dunoon
We tour across the Kyles of Bute and along the shores of Lock Eck to Dunoon, the largest town in Argyll, set on the shores of the Firth of Clyde. It has a large Victorian pier, an attractive promenade, and a bustling high street.

Day 7:
We make out way back to the port for our return ferry back to the mainland before continuing to our overnight hotel in north England.

Return home.

You will stay for four or five nights at the 3-star Glenburn Hotel in Rothesay on the Isle of Bute.
Overnight stays will be in city style hotels (8-day itinerery only).
Set in an outstanding position above its own terraced gardens, the Glenburn enjoys great views towards the mainland. The town’s shops, harbour and medieval castle ruins are a short walk away along the palm fringed promenade. With a wealth of outdoor pursuits on the island from fishing to bowling, walking, cycling and kayaking, and a golf course. Head back over to the mainland and take in the magnificent coast of Argyll, known for its beaches, walking trails and stunning wildlife. Enjoy the hotel's magnificent grounds which allow for great panoramic views across the Cowal Peninsula. Spend your evenings socialising in the lounge bar, take in our evening entertainment in our modern ballroom, or just sit back and read a good book in our small library, it’s up to you how you choose to relax at the Glenburn.
