The delightful Christmas market is held on the bustling Maximilianstrasse, in front of the Old Mint.

We have free time today to enjoy Mainz, located on the confluence of the Rhine and Main, where every year the market square becomes a stunning spectacle of lights and aromas. The imposing Cathedral of St. Martin provides a perfect backdrop to the festively decorated stalls, with their advent gifts and delicious treats.
We head back towards Belgium for an overnight stay.
