Today, we enjoy an included excursion to Holland’s cosmopolitan capital of Amsterdam. Amsterdam is a city with something for everyone, from romantic canal cruises and fantastic gastronomic experiences to excellent shopping opportunities and unique attractions.
If you’d like to soak up the sights from a different perspective, why not join our optional canal cruise? Sailing past many of the famous landmarks of the capital, you’ll get to see parts of the city which are not accessible by coach.
Please note: Due to locally introduced traffic regulations there will be a walk of at least 30 minutes from the coach drop-off point to the centre of Amsterdam.

Day 2: Canal Cruise
This optional excursion is available to pre-book or you can book during your tour.
Most known for the product of ceramic pottery, Delft is a beautiful city brimming with grand houses, arched bridges, courtyards and narrow alleys. The city is traditionally Dutch in appearance, and you will have free time to wander the pretty streets and canals before visiting Delft Pottery, where you can learn more about the history and heritage of pottery as you explore the factory. You’ll also get to enjoy an included tea or coffee with a traditional Dutch apple pie.
This morning, why not join our optional half-day excursion to Gouda? Famous for its cheese, the town hosts a weekly cheese market with traditionally dressed locals selling cheese on the square in front of the Weigh House. We return to Utrecht for some free time.
Alternatively, you can spend all day in Utrecht, otherwise known as ‘Mini Amsterdam’ due to the maze of tree-lined canals that make their way through the town. Discover the iconic Dom Tower or wander through the inviting squares and narrow alleys.
