All Inclusive New Year – Lake Garda and Verona

Local departure by coach or Home Connect service then to Belgium and our overnight hotel.

We head towards Italy. We stay for four nights in Arco, near Lake Garda on all-inclusive basis

We’ll tour the northern shores of Lake Garda and enjoy the sublime natural beauty to be found there. We’ll pass through a number of small towns that hug the shoreline, including beautiful Malcesine and Riva del Garda. Malcesine is a pretty lakeside town below an imposing medieval castle, Castello Scaligero which sits high in the hills above town. Riva del Garda has a stunning old town, set just back from the lake, with beautiful Baroque churches, Venetian city gates and the remains of the ancient city walls around the gorgeous piazza. Tonight we enjoy our New Year’s Eve gala dinner with live music.

Happy New Year! Spend a relaxing day in resort, or head into nearby Riva del Garda.

Verona is one of Italy’s most romantic cities, thanks to the fact that Shakespeare chose this city to set his romantic tragedy Romeo and Juliet. While the couple were purely fictional, there are many attractions which claim by local legend to have once set the scene for Romeo and Juliet. For example, there’s Juliet’s House, where we’ll find the balcony Romeo is said to have serenaded his love, as well as the Basilica di San Zeno where the two were supposedly married in secret. Join our optional guided tour and discover the history and main sights.

We’ll leave Italy behind this afternoon, saying goodbye to our hotel and making our way towards Belgium and our overnight hotel.
