Local departure by coach and travel to the midlands and our hotel for a four-night stay
Today, we enjoy a visit to the beautiful riverside town of Shrewsbury. Stunningly beautiful, Shrewsbury is full of finds with the castle and churches dominating its famous skyline. During our visit, we include a relaxing 45-minute cruise aboard Sabrina Boat along the River Severn with refreshing tea or coffee on board. We sail past the stunning Quarry Park and the town's many historic buildings.
Another exciting day awaits as we head to West Midlands Safari Park and enjoy a spectacular four-mile safari drive on board our coach. Your route takes you up-close to some incredible species from the continents of Africa and Asia. Look out for elephants, lions, tigers, giraffes and rhinos, as well as many others.
Following our safari, we head to the attractive Georgian town of Bewdley, nestled on the banks of the River Severn, where we will have time to grab a bite to eat or wander around this quaint town.
To round off the day, we head to the Severn Valley Railway where we board our vintage train for a scenic ride through the Severn Valley countryside.
Following breakfast, we head to one of the UK's most significant historic botanical gardens. The 15-acre Grade II-listed Birmingham Botanical Gardens has over 10000 plants, 4 Victorian Glasshouses, Alpine Gardens, Bog & Fern Gardens, Japanese Gardens, a Pinetum, and much more to enjoy. Browse the Gardens Shop or maybe enjoy a refreshment or two from one of the pop-up traders.
Following breakfast, we journey home.
