From our base in Skipton, we’ll discover Brontë Country and visit the informative Brontë Parsonage Museum in charming Haworth, a small village with a cobbled street lined with vintage shops. Enjoy a ride on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway – those familiar with the classic ‘Railway Children’ film are sure to recognise the surrounding scenery – before visiting the renowned Wensleydale Creamery on our excursion to Hawes.

Local departure by coach then on to the award-winning Hotel Rendezvous on the waterside just outside Skipton for a four night stay.
A fun-filled day takes us into Brontë Country, visiting charming Haworth, with its historic, cobbled street and vintage shops. The home of the famous Bronte sisters the village attracts visitors from all of the world. Haworth also boasts a fabulous old railway station where you can often see old steam trains.
We then make our way to Esholt which is the original village of the soap Emmerdale. Walk around the village which was used for filming of the popular TV program and why not have a pint in the Woolpack !
Enjoy a leisurely day or join our optional excursion to discover more of the stunning Yorkshire Dales. Our journey takes us northwards to Settle, then high into the Pennines. Spot the famous Ribblehead Viaduct before we reach Hawes in Upper Wensleydale, where you can visit the renowned Wensleydale Creamery.

Today we take a leisurely trip on the Leeds & Liverpool canal. With guided commentary you will learn about the canals history and that it was once the lifeblood of the industrial revolution through Yorkshire. Sit back and relax on the 59 -foot-long canal boat as you sail through beautiful countryside. From here we then visit the lovingly restored Victorian and Edwardian Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. You will travel in one of a number of vintage carriages of different eras and styles with stunning views of the Yorkshire Dales.
After breakfast, we return home

The Rendezvous Hotel's 96 rooms are spread across five floors (with lift
access). Many rooms look out over the Leeds Liverpool Canal (a small supplement
applies) and the foothills of the Yorkshire Dales beyond.
