Eastbourne’s 3.5-mile sweeping, palm-tree-lined seafront is one of the UK’s grandest, made all the better due to it being one of the sunniest towns in Britain. We visit Brighton, which is fun and historic in equal measures, as well as the lovely Sussex towns of Worthing and Arundel.

5 Day Itinerary

  • Day 1:

    Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to Eastbourne and our hotel for four nights.

    Discover the popular seaside resort of Brighton, bursting with attractions from the extravagant Pavilion to the interesting museums and the beautiful beach or the superb shopping, there is so much to see and do.

  • Day 3: Day at Leisure or Battle

    There’s plenty to do in Eastbourne, whether it’s simply relaxing and enjoying the Carpet Gardens or ambitiously hiking a stretch of the 100-mile South Downs Way.

    You may prefer to join our optional excursion to Battle, built around the site of the Battle of 1066.

    Today we will take a trip to the lovely coastal resort of Worthing, boasting a long promenade, lovely pier and pavilion before continuing onto Arundel, dominated by its imposing castle.

You will stay for four nights at the Majestic Hotel or the budget Cavendish Britannia Hotel in Eastbourne. 

  • Majestic Eastbourne Hotel

    Formerly a Bay Hotel, at the Majestic Hotel you will stay right on the main street along Eastbourne’s Royal Parade, close to Redoubt Fort and the world-famous Carpet Gardens. Eastbourne has been a favourite destination on the south coast for many years and the town has recently seen a revival in some of its most famous attractions. The hotel is within a short walk of Eastbourne Pier, which was recently renovated after a devastating fire in 2014. The pier has been home to Victorian Tea Rooms and the Camera Obscura for more than 100 years. As well as the relaxing lounge and open-fronted bar area giving great views of the seafront, the hotel also has a beautiful sun terrace - the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by.
