Our holiday will begin with an included excursion to discover the towns of Portofino. Portofino is famous for its picturesque harbour, which we’ll get the opportunity to visit during our time here.

Christmas Day will be spent celebrating this special occasion, with a sumptuous Christmas lunch and dinner to enjoy.

On Boxing Day, we’ll make our way to the French Riviera to explore Monaco, visiting Monte Carlo and taking in the amazing atmosphere here. The second-smallest country in the world, Monaco is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city-state known for its beautiful scenery and busy atmosphere. We’ll explore Monte Carlo while here, where we’ll find the Monte Carlo Casino, which has famously featured in a number of James Bond films and in Ocean’s Twelve.

Day One - Depart UK
In the morning of day one, we’ll make the journey from the UK to Alassio, which will see us travelling via Calais. From there, we’ll travel through the night on our overnight express coach.

Day Two - Arrive in Alassio
We arrive in Alassio and have time to settle into the Hotel Toscana for our first night in this beautiful destination. (D)

Days Three to Six - Alassio
We'll spend another four days in wonderful Alassio, enjoying two included excursions during our time there, as well as celebrating Christmas with fantastic festivities at our hotel. We’ll visit Portofino before enjoying a trip to Monaco to explore Monte Carlo. (B,D)

Day Seven - Depart Alassio
As our holiday draws to a close, we’ll say goodbye to Alassio and will travel to Calais. (B)

Day Eight - Arrive in UK
We’ll then return to the UK via Calais, and will take the coach back to our local joining points.

Dating from the 1930s, the quaint Hotel Toscana is just a short stroll from the beach and is considered one of the best hotels in charming Alassio. The hotel boasts a wellness area and gym.

Full Day: Monaco and Monte Carlo

Monaco is famous for its laid-back atmosphere, and we’ll certainly enjoy a relaxing day out here. There’s more than enough to keep us busy, too, with museums, gardens, monuments and much more to look forward to.

We’ll explore Monte Carlo, situated in a prominent position at the base of the Maritime Alps. At the western end of the resort is the world-famous Place du Casino, the gambling centre which has made Monte Carlo the playground of the rich and famous. Enjoy the breath-taking vista of the fabulous marina with its impressive yachts as well as the palace of Monaco.


Full Day: Portofino

Discover the pretty village of Portofino, hidden away in a peaceful coastal inlet shielded by olive clad slopes. The view from the harbour is unforgettable and one could spend the entire day admiring it.

We’ll be able to explore a wide range of attractions while in Portofino, including enjoying views of Castello Brown and visiting the Church of St. Martin, the Church of St. George and the Santa Maria Assunta oratory.

A chance to enjoy this stunning Italian Riviera coastline on a scenic drive. With its crystal-clear waters, golden sandy beaches, cliffs, coves and villages flanked by a magnificent mountain backdrop, this really is a sight to behold.
