Local departure by coach, then on to our hotel in rural Somerset for four nights.
Enjoy a visit to Bath, Somerset’s largest city and the only city in the UK designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dating back to 43AD, the Roman Baths are one of the city’s must-see sights, along with the Royal Crescent and the Circus. Visit the Jane Austen Centre and learn more about the author who loved this city, enjoy some retail therapy, or simply relax in a chic bar or restaurant.
Bath Christmas Market usually takes place from 23rd November to 10th December. It is the perfect place to soak up the city’s festive atmosphere and find a thoughtful gift for a loved one.
We return back to the hotel in time for dinner.Spend the morning in the favourite coastal resort of Weston-super-Mare. Enjoy the fresh sea air whilst taking a stroll along the charming Victorian promenade, browse the local shops, and relax in one of the delightful cafés.
Return to the hotel to spend the afternoon at your leisure.
This morning we visit Cheddar, famous for the magnificent limestone gorge that would have begun forming over one million years ago during the last ice age. Enjoy a riverside walk, relax in one of the quaint tearooms, or learn more about the iconic cheese at the Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company.
From here, we’ll visit medieval Wells with its beautiful cathedral, and discover Glastonbury – known for its annual music festival and impressive abbey.
We return to the hotel for dinner.
