Jersey

1 tour from £999pp

Known as an island shaped by the sea, Jersey split from the Normandy peninsula approximately 6,000 years ago, later becoming the inhabited, largest Channel Island we know it as today. With a distinct continental feel and balmy, sun-soaked days, visitors can enjoy beautiful coastlines, rolling countryside and charming attractions. As Jersey’s only town, and its capital, St. Helier is situated on the vast stretch of St. Aubin's Bay, making it the perfect base for any journey to Jersey. Here, you can enjoy fantastic shopping opportunities and first-class eateries, and within just a few minutes’ walk, you could be at the delightful beach with its pretty white sand and tidal pools. As well as the gorgeous beaches and cascading cliffs, Jersey is also very well-known for its military history. If you decide to venture a visit to the iconic 15-acre Elizabeth Castle, located on a tidal island, you can learn more about the multi-layered history while surrounded by the incredible fortress and battlements. There’s plenty to explore on your discovery of Jersey…

Food and Drink

Jersey Royal Potatoes

You might have heard of the Jersey Royal potatoes before, but have you ever tried them on their island of origin? Delightfully nutty and sweet, these potatoes have a protected designation of origin – so only potatoes grown on the island can be called Jersey Royal. Enjoy roasted with rosemary and butter for a distinctly delicious taste.

Bean Crock

Bean crock is often considered to be the national dish of Jersey due to its popularity, roots, and delicious taste. It is a bean-based stew, traditionally using a pig’s trotter – slow-cooked for maximum flavour!

Crab Sandwiches

Look over the lovely beaches and bays of Jersey as you enjoy one of the delicious crab sandwiches on offer. Locally caught, cooked and served, this delicious meaty lunch is certainly beloved, and may possibly be the best crab sandwich you’ll ever try!

Seafood

With an array of luxurious and lovely restaurants, Jersey is renowned for its food, particularly its delicious and high-quality range of seafood. From whole crabs, monk fish and grilled bream, to tuna steaks, lobster, sea bass, scallops and more, you will not be disappointed.
