Marvel at Thursford Christmas Spectacular, an extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour and variety. It’s a fast moving celebration of the festive season featuring an eclectic mix of both seasonal and year round favourites. With a cast of 130 this is the biggest Christmas show of its kind in Europe!
Local departure by coach, then on to Great Yarmouth and our hotel for four nights.
Today we visit Thursford for the highlight of this trip. Visit the ‘olde worlde’ village of shops, such as the Best of British Pantry Shop selling British jams, chutneys and biscuits, and The Christmas Shop for everything you will need for a perfect festive season. Why not also see the world’s largest collection of steam engines and organs (extra charges apply)?
Then it’s time to take our seats for the fabulous Christmas Spectacular, a show which has entertained millions of visitors for over 40 years. It is one of Europe’s biggest seasonal shows and this award-winning production is sure to amaze with a cast of dancers, singers, musicians, and variety acts.
Please note the order of excursions is subject to change and Thursford Christmas Spectacular may take place on a different day.
Relax in Great Yarmouth or join our optional excursion to Cromer, the ‘Gem of the Norfolk Coast’. Once a small fishing village and now a traditional seaside resort. Stroll down its Victorian pier, which has withstood many storms and even an attempt to blow it up by the Government in WWII to prevent it being used as a landing strip for enemy invaders! Why not sample the famous Cromer crab, a local delicacy? You can also discover the town’s maritime history at the Lifeboat Museum and Cromer Museum.
The optional excursions will be available to book during your tour.
Prices are per person and are subject to change. Payment will be in sterling (cash payments only).
This morning we visit historic Norwich where, in this truly English city, it is still a pleasure to wander among the medieval streets, particularly cobbled Elm Hill, which is full of character. Norwich is the most complete medieval city in the UK, the only city in a National Park, and was England’s first UNESCO City of Literature. It is of course also famous for Alan Partridge, Steve Coogan’s comedic character presenting Radio Norwich. There is also Norwich Market, open six days a week, as well as two shopping centres and four department stores.
Return home.
You will stay for four nights at the 3-star The Dolphin Hotel in Great Yarmouth.
Location: 14 Albert Square, Great Yarmouth, NR30 3JH
