    Explore romantic Hever Castle and its exquisitely presented gardens.

    Here you’ll find lavishly furnished rooms and one of the best collections of Tudor portraits and tales of Royalty, as this was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. Set in magnificent gardens, this romantic castle formed the backdrop to a sequence of tumultuous events that changed the course of British history forever.

  • Day 3: Day at leisure or Hastings and Rye

    Enjoy a day at leisure in seaside Eastbourne or why not join our optional excursion to hilltop Rye. This once-fortified town played an important role in the defence of the south coast of England, with tales of smugglers and highwaymen to be discovered amongst the cobbled streets and secret passages.

    We also call at historic Hastings, where the ruins of the castle watch over the town and the three-mile stretch of glorious seafront.

    Discover Eastbourne with a free day, or join our optional excursion along the coast to Brighton. Bursting with attractions from the extravagant Pavilion and interesting museums, to the stunning beach and superb shopping Lanes.

    The historic 'Lanes' are a joy to wander around, with narrow alleyways, hidden squares, exciting independent shops, legendary jewellers and plenty of places to eat, drink and watch the world go by!

  • Day 7: Sissinghurst Castle Garden

    Sissinghurst Castle Garden was the backdrop for a diverse history, from its astonishing time as a prison to being the home of the women's land army. The gardens here evoke the surroundings, with a Rose Garden, Lime Walk, White Garden and the colourful Cottage Garden.

    "Cram, cram, cram every chink and cranny" was the approach to planting by Vita Sackville-West when her and her husband took ownership of the Sissinghurst Castle in 1930, and they set to work designing a garden that now is world-renowned and delights visitors from across the world.
