Winter Wonderland in the Austrian Tyrol

Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then to our overnight hotel in Belgium.

Continuing south, we travel through Germany and into Austria to reach our hotel in the Tyrol for four nights.

A wonderful day lies ahead as we visit beautiful Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol. Learn more about the city’s history on our guided tour, then have time to explore. See some of the highlights including the Hofkirche or court church, and the iconic Golden Roof. Why not try some of the tasty treats here, such as the famous cakes at the Café Sacher or the tasty cured meats at the Speckerei?

This afternoon, we include a visit to Swarovski Crystal World in Wattens where a water-spouting giant welcomes you to a world of wonder.

Enjoy a scenic circuit around the Wilder Kaiser or Wild Emperor Mountains and the Kitzbühel Alps. Journey via the pretty lakeside town of Walchsee to the beautiful market town of St. Johann, before heading to the famous town of Kitzbühel, home to the rich and famous.

Wander through the cobblestoned streets, browse the high fashion boutiques and keep an eye out for celebrities!

After breakfast today, we visit a schnapps dairy to learn how it is made and taste the local firewater.

This afternoon, we enjoy a romantic horse drawn sleigh ride, passing through a breathtaking winter’s landscape (tour may be on wheels, weather dependent).

On our return to the hotel, we will enjoy a guided walk of the local area.

We travel back to Belgium for an overnight stay.
