6. Whitby

This unique town on the Yorkshire coast is the most popular coach holiday destination in the north of England. Just the like south coast seaside resorts, Whitby has several beaches with traditional piers and interesting rock pools to explore. However, this town also has an extra, somewhat mysterious, charm. Prehistoric fossils dot the shoreline, you'll see seaside fortune tellers aplenty and there are various ghost walks which tell of the town's spooky history.

Travel to Whitby with Shearings and you'll stay in the Royal Hotel where Bram Stoker stayed when he was writing Dracula. They say it was the views over to Whitby Abbey that inspired him to pen the gothic tale.
