Loch Long is the quintessential Scottish scene, mountains rise high out of the out of the water and ruined castles line the banks of the deep blue water.

The Arrochar Alps rise high out of the town and are particularly popular with hill-walkers, for an easy walk take a stroll out to the Falls of Falloch which are less than 20 minutes’ drive away from the hotel.

Heading further out you can experience the stunning scenery of the Duke’s Pass on the other side of the national park, on the drive over you will have the chance to see the southern end of Loch Lomond and the many islands that dot its surface. From Arrochar it is possible to take a day trip out to the historic city of Stirling which for many years was Scotland’s capital and one of its most important cities. Glasgow is less than an hour away by car and has a great range of architecture harking back to its glory days as a Victorian industrial city.

The hotel is set in the ancestral seat of Clan McFarlane and has a relaxing bar and lounge area with plenty of space to relax and enjoy a drink after a day exploring the Trossachs. In the hotel’s restaurant you can enjoy fantastic breakfast and evening meals daily
