Heading further out you can experience the stunning scenery of the Duke’s Pass on the other side of the national park, on the drive over you will have the chance to see the southern end of Loch Lomond and the many islands that dot its surface. From Arrochar it is possible to take a day trip out to the historic city of Stirling which for many years was Scotland’s capital and one of its most important cities. Glasgow is less than an hour away by car and has a great range of architecture harking back to its glory days as a Victorian industrial city.
