Let your hair down on one of our fantastic Weekend Plus Breaks, staying at the Norbreck Hotel in Scarborough and enjoying all this beautiful Victorian seaside resort has to offer. An excursion to York is included in the trip so you’ll have plenty to keep you entertained over the weekend.
On Saturday night you'll be treated to four drinks vouchers to use on a selection of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks, as well as fantastic live entertainment. A great way to spend the weekend!
Day One: Home to Scarborough
We’ll make our way to Scarborough today, journeying from the interchange to the Bay Norbreck Hotel, arriving in time for our evening meal. (D)
Days Two to Three: Scarborough
There will be time to explore Scarborough at leisure, with the castle just around the corner and the seafront just a short walk from the hotel. We’ll also take an excursion to York with free time to explore this incredibly important historic city. Each and every street is like a trip through history with highlights including the ancient city walls, York Minster and the recently restored Jorvik Viking centre. Be sure not to pass up the chance to enjoy a drink in a historic pub or tea in a quaint café. (B,D)
Day Four: Scarborough to Home
On our final day, we’ll say goodbye to Scarborough as we journey back to the interchange, and then continue home. (B)
The Norbreck Hotel is the only hotel in Scarborough that gives wonderful panoramic views across both the North and South Bays from its prominent position on the headland.
If you want to experience all the fun of the seaside, the Norbreck Hotel is the ideal place to stay. The hotel is just a short walk from the resort’s fantastic attractions including The Esplanade, South Bay beach, The Italian Gardens and of course traditional amusements, restaurants, cafes and bars along the seafront.
Heading the other way, enjoy the naturally beautiful, less developed beach of the North Bay, nature lovers will enjoy amazing natural sights including the nearby North York Moors and the stunning Cleveland Way which passes the hotel.
In the hotel you can of course take in the stunning views of the coastline from the restaurant while enjoying delicious meals followed by relaxing drinks in the bar and great entertainment in the hotel’s ballroom. All of our standard rooms are fashionably decorated and there is the option to upgrade to a standard plus room for even greater comfort.
Trip to historic York
From the Romans to the Vikings and eventually the House of Plantagenet during the War of the Roses, York has always been a hugely important historic city. You will have free time to explore the Minister, quaint shops and historic pubs on the Shambles, the city walls or the recently restored Jorvik Viking centre, to get a real feel of York’s past. There’s no chance of not finding something to suit you for an afternoon in this incredible city.
