This Holiday is Great For
Day One - Home to Sandown
We’ll make our way from the interchange to Sandown, where we’ll check in to the Broadway Park Hotel and will enjoy a sumptuous evening meal. (D)
Days Two and Three - Sandown
On one of the days in Sandown we will go on our included excursion, a scenic drive around the island and some of its most beautiful spots. We will see the wonderful beaches, dramatic cliff faces, wonderful inland hills and places of interest along the way that have drawn tourists to the Isle of Wight since the Victorian Era. The other day will be for you to enjoy at your leisure. Sandown has a beautiful seafront, as well as an exhibit on the huge number of fossils that have been found on the island. There are easy rail connections from the town’s station to the Isle of Wight steam railway and the beautiful Victorian resort of Ryde for those who want to venture a little further afield. (B,D)
Day Four - Sandown to Home
Time to say goodbye today; we depart after breakfast and make our way to the interchange before returning home. (B)
Broadway Park Hotel
Stay amid beautiful gardens, close to all the attractions Sandown and the Isle of Wight have to offer at the beautiful Broadway Park Hotel in Sandown.
The hotel is in a popular area of Sandown, not far from the seafront and the town centre. Sandown has all the fun of the seaside with its beach and pier as well as a number of bars and restaurants, but without the usual overcrowding in summer and relatively mild weather in winter. One of the town’s main highlights is the popular Dinosaur Isle exhibition, which tracks the history of fossil discovery on the Isle of Wight.
From Sandown the rest of the island is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Ryde is a short train ride away and has all the attractions you would expect from a traditional British seaside resort, with a huge number of amusements and even a funfair. For great landscapes and sea views head to the Needles and the Tennyson coast on the island’s west coast.
In the hotel enjoy open gardens, great for relaxing and enjoying the great Isle of Wight sunshine. If it gets a little too hot, take a dip in the outdoor pool, or get inside and enjoy a game of snooker or fantastic entertainment in the evenings.
Enjoy our relaxing excursion today, as we take a leisurely scenic drive around the island, stopping at places of interest along the way.
