Day One - Home to Melrose
We’ll make our way from the interchange to Melrose, where we’ll check in to the Bay Waverley Castle Hotel and enjoy an evening meal. (D)
Days Two and Three - Melrose
We have included an excursion to Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh, with free time to explore the city at leisure you can take in the many historical sites including the Royal Mile and the many castles in the city. The other day will be free for you to spend at your leisure. The town of Melrose has some fascinating sites, including Melrose Abbey, which is the supposed burial site of Robert the Bruce and the opportunity to take a walk in the Eildon Hills. Alternatively relax in and around the hotel or enjoy a bite to eat in the centre of town which is a 15 minute walk away. (B,D)
Day Four - Melrose to Home
Time to say goodbye today; we depart after breakfast and make our way to the interchange before returning home. (B)

For some ancient history head to the border with England and discover the Roman era ruins that surround Hadrian’s Wall which also enjoys stunning views over Northumberland National Park.

We’ll take a trip to Edinburgh where you’ll have free time to enjoy the city in any way you choose. Whether you fancy strolling round Edinburgh Castle, seeing the exotic animals at Edinburgh Zoo, or climbing Arthurs Seat for fantastic views across the city, there’s sure to be something to keep you entertained in this fantastic city.
