The Valley of Rocks runs along the north coast of Devon and has been an inspiration to numerous writers throughout the years and is the namesake of our Hotel in Lyton. The valley is a pleasant walk from the hotel in Lynton which is perched high on the cliff top above the fishing village of Lynmouth. The hotel is situated on the main street, commanding panoramic views of the bay from its sloping gardens. Named ‘Little Switzerland of England’ by the Victorians, the lovely cliff top village of Lynton is Devon at its very best! Abundant in Victorian architecture, art and craft shops and quaint tearooms, it boasts magnificent views of the dramatic coastline.
