    Join us on a tour of the Peak District National Park including a visit to Chatsworth House near Bakewell, the ancestral home of the Dukes of Devonshire, affectionately known as 'The Palace of the Peak'.

    Shugborough & Lichfield

    We’ll take an exciting excursion to the magical Shugborough Estate, the ancestral home of Lord Lichfield. See history brought to life by the costumed characters, who take visitors on a journey into the inner workings of a large country estate. We continue on to visit Lichfield, known for its fantastic three-spired medieval cathedral. This historical city was also the birthplace of Samuel Johnson, writer of the first dictionary, and contains many fascinating sights.

    Enjoy a superb tour of the Peak District National Park including a visit to Chatsworth House near Bakewell, the ancestral home of the Dukes of Devonshire, affectionately known as 'The Palace of the Peak'. Chatsworth House features elegant English Baroque and Italianate architecture and is set against the banks of the River Derwent, ensuring amazing views over the surrounding Peak District landscape. Inside, we’ll find beautifully restored rooms with antiques and original furnishings, so we can explore this stately home as it once would have been.
