Ship and Castle Hotel

St Mawes

  • Enjoy the scenic small town coastal feel of St Mawes, with the benefits of larger Falmouth just across the bay
  • Explore the stunning Roseland Peninsula which has a number of beautiful walking trails
  • Easily visit historic Truro or the many beaches around Newquay

The Ship & Castle occupies an enviable position right on the harbour of the sleepy Cornish coastal village of St Mawes with views of Carrick Roads and Percuill River.

At the other side of the village is St Mawes Castle which is at the perfect spot for views over the coast to Pendennis Castle in Falmouth. From St Mawes you will be in a magnificent place to explore the Roseland Peninsula which has a number of beautiful walking trails along the coast.

Taking the ferry across Carrick Roads to Falmouth there are a number of great attractions in town to enjoy including Falmouth Art Gallery and the National Maritime Museum Cornwall. You can pick up the South West Coast Path in town to take in the Lizard Heritage Coast which is a stunning mix of green hills and dramatic seaside cliffs.

Inside the hotel is the perfect place to relax, with fantastic views so why not grab a bottle of wine in the lounge and look out at the boats on the harbour as the sunsets after a busy day?
