Day One:
We make our way to Torquay, where on arrival and after check-in at the Tor Bay Hotel we will enjoy a delicious evening meal. 

Day Two - Seven:
We spend the next six days on the beautiful English Riviera, enjoying the very best Torquay and the surrounding towns have to offer. During that time we will enjoy three included excursions.

We take a trip to Buckfast Abbey, a working monastery on the edge of Dartmoor, we will then travel aboard the South Devon Railway, across beautiful countryside. On another excursion we travel into Dartmoor, discovering this amazing, isolated and wild place before we reach the city of Plymouth. Our final excursion travels to the pretty town of Sidmouth, a pretty Victorian resort with a fantastic beach, the town is heavily linked to its association with the Jurassic Coast. On the same day we will visit Babbacombe Model Village. 

The other days are free for you to enjoy at your leisure. Take some time to explore beautiful Torquay, relax in and around the hotel, or take the train north and south along the beautiful coastline.

Day Eight:
Following breakfast in the hotel we will leave the hotel and embark on our homeward journey via the interchange.

The town of Torquay is the gem of the English Riviera, a perfect mix of the timeless elegance of a Victorian seaside resort and modern attractions set in stunning Tor Bay.

Tor Park is just a short walk from the town’s seafront and the array of attractions that the town is famous for. Take a walk around seafront Abbey Park or walk for around 10 minutes to find the towns shopping area which includes both independent and chain stores.

Torre station is less than five minutes’ walk away from the hotel and is perfect to catch a train to quaint Paignton. Here enjoy the quiet beach or hop on the Dartmouth Steam Train through the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the town of Dartmouth.

Full Day: Dawlish and Babbacombe Model Village (2019)

Excursion visiting the traditional seaside town of Dawlish, home to a wonderful golden beach and a range of interesting shops and attraction. We continue on to visit the delightful Babbacombe Model Village.


Full Day: Buckfast Abbey And South Devon Railway

We enjoy an excursion to Buckfast Abbey, set in a quiet wooded valley at the edge of Dartmoor National Park. See the magnificent Abbey church and tranquil grounds, with immaculate lawns and fine stone buildings. We also enjoy a trip on the South Devon Railway through scenic and beautiful countryside.


Full Day: Dartmoor and Plymouth

We’ll enjoy an excursion across the wild landscape of Dartmoor as we journey towards Plymouth. The area is perhaps most famous now as the place where the Pilgrim Fathers embarked onto the Mayflower before crossing the Atlantic to North America, the Mayflower steps mark the spot where they last left British soil. Explore around the harbour here which buzzes with the sounds of many bars and restaurants and boutique shops.


Full Day: Sidmouth and Babbacombe Model Village

We will head into the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the seaside town of Sidmouth. This charming small town has a natural harbour and is a hub for people visiting the Jurassic Coast, the history of the rocks here stretches back more than 185 million years. For fans of flora, Sidmouth is a regular winner of awards at Britain in Bloom in various categories. We then visit Babbacombe model village, with more than 400 buildings and over 13,000 figurines making up four acres of award-winning gardens.
