Included Excursions

Full Day: Lost Gardens of Heligan

We make our way to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, first established in Mevagissey by the Tremayne family in the mid-18th century. They surround the Heligan estate, on which is the beautiful Jacobean Heligan House.

The public gardens around the house are filled with wonderful scenery, as the plants here have been perfectly preserved and tended to. There are a number of gardens to wander through, including the Italian Garden, the Jungle, the Vegetable Garden and the Waller Garden. We’ll see gigantic rhododendrons, aged camellias, and Europe’s last pineapple pit.

Full Day: Scilly Isles and Tresco Abbey Gardens

After an early breakfast we sail across to St Mary's, before taking a shuttle boat to glorious Tresco Abbey Garden, where our local guide accompanies us on a tour of the gardens to discover the exotic fauna and flora.

Full Day: Trebah Gardens and Falmouth

Excursion visiting the tranquil haven of Trebah Garden, a sub-tropical paradise with a stunning coastal backdrop. Visit in spring as the colourful array of 100-year old rhododendrons, magnolias and camellias burst into flower, in summer to see the giant gunnera, or autumn when Hydrangea Valley casts clouds of china blue and soft whites across Mallar Pond. We also call at the maritime town of Falmouth.
