Enjoy the seasonal celebrations with this exciting holiday to Nickenich, a charming German town.
To begin our holiday, we'll take a scenic tour of the Moselle Valley. This beautiful region in south-western Germany is known for its splendid views and winemaking past, and we'll spend time exploring Cochem during our excursion. This historic town is well-known for its timber-framed houses and charming atmosphere.
On New Year's Eve, we'll continue our tour to the Rhine Valley to soak up this dramatic landscape, and will enjoy stops in Andernach, Koblenz and Boppard. Andernach offers over 2,000 years of history, while Koblenz is set at the confluence of the Rhine and the Moselle and Boppard is often called the ‘Pearl of the Rhine' for its amazing setting.
Back at our hotel, we'll see in the New Year with a festive buffet, after which we'll enjoy some music. At midnight, celebrate with like-minded holidaymakers and raise a glass of sparkling wine!
Day One - UK to Nickenich
We’ll make our way from the UK to Nickenich, via Calais, and will spend the next three nights at the Hotel Burgklause.
Days Two to Three - Nickenich
There will be plenty to discover during our holiday, with tours of the Moselle and Rhine valleys to enjoy. In addition to this, we’ll celebrate the New Year! (B,D)
Day Four - Nickenich to France
Time to make our way to northern France for our overnight stay at a comfortable hotel. (B,D)
Day Five - France to UK
We’ll return to the UK today, travelling from Northern France via Calais and then continuing home. (B)

Half Day: Moselle Valley and Cochem
Enjoy a full day included excursion exploring the Moselle Valley. Admire the beautiful scenery as we drive through the region to the town of Cochem. The old quarter of Cochem is dominated by the late-Gothic imperial castle and is dotted with medieval squares and timber framed houses to make this village an architectural gem.
Full Day: Rhine Valley
Today we discover the stunning natural beauty of the Rhine Valley - join us as we explore this picturesque destination. We enjoy a scenic drive as we journey to Andernach, one of the oldest towns on the Rhine. After this, we visit Koblenz, known for its placement at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle, and then continue onwards through this amazing scenery to reach Boppard, known as the 'Pearl of the Rhine’.
