    Holiday not on sale

Sorry, this holiday is currently not on sale

We’ll begin our holiday in beautiful Porto, enjoying time at leisure to take in the city’s many sights, before enjoying an included excursion to Braga and Guimaraes. Braga, known as the ‘Rome of Portugal’, is filled with incredible ancient sights, while Guimaraes is considered the birthplace of Portugal. It was here, in 1109, that Afonso Henriques was born - he would later go on to become the first King of Portugal.

As we continue our journey to Albufeira on the stunning Algarve, we’ll stop in Fatima, seeing its famous shrine to the Virgin Mary. We’ll stay in Albufeira for the next five days, with an included excursion to Lagos and Sagres to enjoy.

Lagos is known for its important role in the Portuguese ‘Age of Discovery’, when the country was at the peak of its naval discovery and overseas exploration. Meanwhile, the picturesque town of Sagres is also connected to this part of Portugal’s heritage, as Prince Henry the Navigator often called it home. While in Albufeira, we’ll also discover the marvellous scenery of the eastern Algarve, taking in a number of dramatic towns and villages along the way.
