We enjoy an excursion to Durham, in the ‘Land of the Prince Bishops’, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During free time take the chance to see and explore the magnificent cathedral, Norman castle, medieval streets and riverside walks which all combine to make an unforgettable visit. Or hire a pleasure boat and take a trip along the river for great views of the city from a different perspective.

Full Day: Northumberland Coast And Bamburgh Castle

Excursion seeing the impressive Northumberland coastline with visits to Seahouses, a pretty seaside town with a working harbour. Nearby are a number of wide sandy beaches with rolling dunes which are great for a short walk. Bamburgh Castle, breathtakingly set by golden shores and with fabulous views along the coast in both directions and out to the North Sea. And finally Alnwick, known for its historic Castle and Gardens all incorporated into the day.
