Stay with us at the Grand Hotel in Exmouth for a great way to see in the New Year in style, with fantastic inclusions to really get the party started. You’ll enjoy Buck’s Fizz on arrival, with have plenty of time to make friends with your fellow travellers, revel in all the treats to come and get into the festive spirit.
You’ll also enjoy luxury return coach travel, traditional cooked breakfasts and three-course evening meals, festive entertainment in the evenings, brunch on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day and a five-course New Year’s Eve dinner with drinks reception.
We’ll also take an excursion to discover Exeter, a beautiful city with a rich history that dates back to Roman times.
Day One: From home to Exmouth
Today we travel via the interchange to the Grand Hotel where after check-in we'll enjoy an evening meal. (D)
Days Two - Three: In Exmouth
Over two days in Exmouth we enjoy an included excursion. This is a visit to the historic city of Exeter where you will have free time to take in historic sites such as the city walls, the cathedral, the guildhall, the quayside and Parliament Street, claimed to be the narrowest street in the world.
The other day is for you to enjoy at your leisure. Exmouth is a fantastic town to walk around and a coastal path stretches to the nearby village of Budleigh Salterton. (B,D)
Day Four: From Exmouth to home
Departing after breakfast, you will travel to your interchange. Here you will join the feeder service to return to your joining point or return home independently. (B)
Stay right on the seafront close to all of Exmouth’s attractions and just across the road from the beach with us at The Grand Hotel.
Exmouth is situated in a beautiful part of the South West, just at the mouth of the River Exe. A number of glorious walking trails pass through the town, with the South West Coastal Path passing just over the road from the hotel. Take the path through stunning coastal scenery to the amazing village of Budleigh Salterton, in town there are a number of cafes, bars, pubs and galleries to enjoy before hopping on a local bus back to Exmouth.
Going a little further afield you can discover a number of great towns close by. Take the short trip to Exeter to learn the thousands of years’ worth of history that this city possesses or travel south along the coast to Torquay, Paignton and Teignmouth to enjoy traditional attractions and scenic beaches.
After all that outdoor exercise the hotel is a perfect place to wind down and take it easy. Relax with a drink and take in the sunset in the hotels beautiful gardens, or after enjoying a meal in the restaurant, sit in the comfortable bar and lounge area for a soothing rest before bed.
Excursion to Exeter
We take a scenic drive into Dartmoor, visiting the Teign Valley for beautiful views of green rolling countryside. We’ll carry on from there to Exeter, the county town of Devon and a place steeped in history. You will have free time to explore all the sights the city has to offer, for something a little different go and explore the medieval water systems below Exeter’s surface, tours can be found from the Princesshay Shopping area. On our way back to Torquay, we will stop at the House of Marbles to see high quality vintage toys and gifts being produced.
