From our base in the bustling town of Oban we discover the enchanting Hebridean islands, enjoying a cruise to the magical islands of Mull, tranquil Iona and remarkable Staffa, home to the iconic Fingal’s Cave. We also take a scenic drive through the Trossachs National Park to visit Luss, and relax with a journey to the Isle of Seil.

Day One - Home to Northern England
Travel to Northern England where we check into our overnight hotel and enjoy our evening meal. (D)

Day Two – Northern England to Oban
We continue to Oban where we check into the Bay Great Western Hotel and enjoy our evening meal. (B,D)

Days Three to Six – Oban
Enjoy free time in and around Oban with two included excursions to enjoy. (B,D)

Day Seven – Oban to Northern England
We depart Oban and enjoy an en route excursion before making our way to our overnight hotel in Northern England. (B,D)

Day Eight - Northern England to Home

The town of Oban is just a short walk away with a number of places here to sample  local produce including delicious seafood and the refined and elegant whiskeys that the region is famous for. There’s also plenty to explore in town, head up to McCaig’s Tower for a great view over the Sound of Mull, or visit Dunollie or Dunstaffage Castle to learn a little about the history of Oban.

Magnificent Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park can be easily reached from Oban and makes a great day trip. For perhaps even greater scenery though board a ferry and head out onto the islands that dot the sea off Scotland’s West Coast. Mull, the Isle of Lismore and Kerrera, just across Oban Bay all make fantastic day trips offering superb scenery and a sense of solitude and wilderness that is incomparable almost anywhere in the UK.

In the hotel enjoy fantastic views over Oban Bay while sipping a tasty drink in the bar and lounges after a long day enjoying Scotland’s natural beauty. In the main season you can enjoy live evening entertainment in the lounge as well as tasty breakfast and evening meals in the restaurant. En route: Oban Sea Life Centre

Visit the interesting Oban Sea Life Centre set on the picturesque shores of Loch Creran and home to some enchanting marine creatures.


Full Day: Isle of Seil and Inveraray

Enjoy a scenic loop travelling to the Isle of Seil, the most northerly of the Slate Islands and reached by the Bridge over the Atlantic. We continue via Lochgilphead to reach the pretty white-walled town of Inveraray.


Full Day: Mull, Iona and Staffa

Firstly we sail to the magical Isle of Mull, and then make our way across this scenic island to reach Fionnphort. From here, we join our cruise which takes us to see the awe-inspiring Isle of Staffa and Fingal's Cave, before returning us to the tiny Isle of Iona, known for its tranquillity, it's imposing Abbey and as the burial place of Scottish kings. Following some free time on Iona, we sail back to Fionnphort, re-join our coach and return across Mull to sail back to Oban.
