This Holiday is Great For
Royal Weymouth Hotel
The Royal Hotel commands an unrivaled position right on Weymouth’s seafront with the town’s beach just across the promenade and a wealth of shops, boutique cafes and bars and quality restaurants just a short walk away.
Weymouth has a number of great attractions with Nothe Fort an easy walk from the hotel which has various exhibitions on a variety of subjects throughout the year. Or take the bus to the Isle of Portland which has a historic castle and lighthouse and is generally a lovely place to spend a day on its trails which offer great views.
Weymouth’s main train station is just a couple of minutes’ walk from the hotel and by car and train the surrounding landscape is fantastic to explore. The Jurassic Coast is a short journey away as is the New Forest, both of which offer fantastic wildlife and landscapes with stunning golden beaches and fantastic moorland respectively.
The hotel’s restaurant and bar offer great views of the promenade and are a great place for people watching while enjoying our chef’s wide and varied menus at breakfast and for an evening meal. Choose to enjoy an upgrade to superior and premier rooms for even greater comfort and space as well as fantastic sea views during your stay.
Lawrence of Arabia Country
Enjoy a tour journeying through some of the pretty local villages of inland Dorset visiting places of interest associated with Lawrence of Arabia in the area around Clouds Hill, the village where he lived towards the end of his life. We then continue to seaside Swanage. In Swanage you will have time to explore this beautiful setting at leisure, with its beautiful white sand beach, restored steam railway and vintage Victorian pier.
Trip to Poole
We enjoy a trip visiting the stylish resort of Poole. Boasting Europe’s largest natural harbour, the bustling quay is a great place to sit back and watch the fishermen unloading their catch. Alternatively explore the Old Town with its mix of smuggler’s passageways and elegant house.
