Travel to Torquay where we check into the The Bay Torbay Hotel and enjoy our evening meal. (D)

We spend the weekend in Torquay with included tickets to the Royal Marines Christmas Concert at the Princess Theatre, which is just along the seafront from our hotel.

We will also take an excursion to discover nearby Exeter. The city has a long and ancient history, having been established by the Romans and there is plenty to see and do here. Highlights include the city walls, the cathedral, the guildhall, the quayside and Parliament Street, claimed to be the narrowest street in the world. 

We also travel to Teignmouth a pretty port town on the South Devon coast. While here visit the beautiful sandy beach or stroll along the promenade to take in a full view of the town's seafront.

You will have free time to explore Torquay at leisure, relax in and around the hotel, or even take the train over to Plymouth in less than an hour! (B,D)

The Bay Torbay hotel sits amid swaying palms and golden sands at the heart of the English Riviera in the beautiful town or Torquay.

Set on the seafront just across the road from the Pavillion Theatre, with the South West Coast Path passing very close to the hotel. Fleet Street starts just behind the hotel and has a number of shops and cafes to enjoy.

From Torquay it is just a short journey by both car and public transport to the best natural sights that Devon has to offer. Dartmoor is about an hour away where you can enjoy great walks along beautiful trails amid fantastic heather moorland. Or head south along the coast to the pretty towns such as Paignton and Dartmouth.

In the hotel you can relax on a lovely sun terrace or grab some food and drinks from one of the two bars or snack bar and the café. We offer standard, standard plus, superior and premier rooms which you can select to upgrade to for even greater space and comfort during your stay.

Enjoy an evening of entertainment with included tickets to Dirty Dancing; The Classic Story on Stage at Princess Theatre Torquay. Exploding with heart-pounding music, breathtaking emotion and sensationally sexy dancing, this worldwide smash is brought to the stage in a fantastic new production.

Please note that transfers to/from the Princess Theatre are not included. The theatre is around 100m along the seafront from the Torbay Hotel. The Tor Park Hotel is around 20 minutes away on foot or by bus.


Trip to Teignmouth

We travel north along the coast to the pretty harbour town of Teignmouth, where we will have free time to explore. The town's promenade runs the length of the seafront with the sandy beach next to it perfect for relaxing and watching the world go by. There are a number of other attractions throughout the town with Pavilions, the Grand Pier and the Activity Trail being great places to while away a fun afternoon.


Excursion to Exeter

We take a scenic drive into Dartmoor, visiting the Teign Valley for beautiful views of green rolling countryside. We’ll carry on from there to Exeter, the county town of Devon and a place steeped in history. You will have free time to explore all the sights the city has to offer, for something a little different go and explore the medieval water systems below Exeter’s surface, tours can be found from the Princesshay Shopping area. On our way back to Torquay, we will stop at the House of Marbles to see high quality vintage toys and gifts being produced.
