Spend time exploring Scarborough at leisure during the next few days, and enjoy our included excursions, with a jaunt to Whitby and a trip to historical York. (B,D)
Day Five - Scarborough to Home
Time to make our way home today, as we return to the interchange. (B)

The Norbreck Hotel is the only hotel in Scarborough that gives wonderful panoramic views across both the North and South Bays from its prominent position on the headland.

The hotel is just a short walk from the resort’s fantastic attractions including The Esplanade, South Bay beach, The Italian Gardens and of course traditional amusements, restaurants, cafes and bars along the seafront.
Heading the other way, enjoy the naturally beautiful, less developed beach of the North Bay, nature lovers will enjoy amazing natural sights including the nearby North York Moors and the stunning Cleveland Way which passes the hotel.
In the hotel you can of course take in the stunning views of the coastline from the restaurant while enjoying delicious meals followed by relaxing drinks in the bar and great entertainment in the hotel’s ballroom. Trip to historical York
From the Romans to the Vikings and eventually the House of Plantagenet during the War of the Roses, York has always been a hugely important historic city. You will have free time to explore the Minister, quaint shops and historic pubs on the Shambles, the city walls or the recently restored Jorvik Viking centre, to get a real feel of York’s past. There’s no chance of not finding something to suit you for an afternoon in this incredible city.
Trip to Whitby
Today we travel through the beautiful scenery of the North York Moors passing stunning, internationally important heather moorland, woodland and forest, stunning landscape and attractive villages to the picturesque seaside town of Whitby. Here you will have time to explore the town and the pretty area around the port. Why not try some delicious kippers or one of the quayside fish and chip shops that the town is famous for. Or learn about two of the most important figures associated with the town, Captain James Cook and Dracula.
