Hotels in Morecambe are famous for extending a warm and friendly welcome to all travellers. Now you can experience this world-famous hospitality for yourself by staying with us at the Strathmore Hotel Morecambe. Our hotel offers fantastic views over Morecambe Bay and to the Lakeland fells beyond and is an ideal centre for discovering this marvellous area.
Just across the road from the beach and 15 minutes walk from the train station, the Strathmore allows you to do as much or as little as you see fit during your break.
Bowness and Lake Windermere cruise
We make our way to the glorious Lake District, stopping firstly at Bowness. William Wordsworth said, “Windermere ought to be seen both from its shores and from its surface. None of the other Lakes unfold so many fresh beauties to him who sails upon them.” Taking his advice we will be taking the ferry from Bowness to Ambleside which is truly an experience of a lifetime. After some time in Ambleside we’ll return back to Morecambe.
Trip to Lancaster returning via Morecambe's Festival Market
Today we'll enjoy a trip to the historic city of Lancaster with free time to explore. Lancaster Castle is a highlight, rich in history from the origins of the Tudor dynasty to its associations with the Pendle Witches. On our return journey to Morecambe we call at Festival Market, a traditional covered market with over 100 stalls.
