Majestic Eastbourne Hotel
At the Majestic Hotel you will stay right on the main street along Eastbourne’s Royal Parade, close to Redoubt Fort, the world famous Carpet Gardens and the Victorian pier.
Eastbourne has been a favourite destination on the south coast for many years and the town has recently seen a revival in some of its most famous attractions. The hotel is within a short walk of Eastbourne Pier, which was recently renovated after a devastating fire in 2014. The pier has been home to Victorian Tea Rooms and the Camera Obscura for more than 100 years.
Venturing further afield you can enjoy fantastic landscapes with rolling green hills and chalk cliffs in the dramatic South Downs which begin just to the west of the town. Eastbourne train station is around 15 minutes’ walk away from the hotel and from here Lewes and bohemian Brighton are just a short train ride away.
In the hotel you can enjoy fantastic breakfast and evening meals with snacks available from the bar throughout the day. As well as the relaxing lounge and open fronted bar area giving great views of the seafront, the hotel also has a beautiful sun terrace - the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by.
Full Day: Scotney Castle
We'll enjoy an excursion to Scotney Castle. The beautiful gardens, bursting with rhododendrons and azaleas, form a glorious backdrop to the fairytale castle and there is a wealth of history and treasures to be found in the Victorian country mansion.
