Malgrat de Mar will be our base for this exciting holiday, where we’ll stay in order to get the most out of our relaxing break. We’ll be based at the Hotel Sorra D'or, where we’ll be able to relax and unwind, before returning home feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
There’s more than enough to do in Malgrat de Mar as well, with lots of things to see and do. We’ll have lots of free time available, and so we’ll be able to visit some of the best attractions in the resort at leisure.
The town is home to a number of well-known monuments, such as the Church of St Nicolau, the old fish market, El Castell and the Ca l'Arnau, as well as many others. We’ll be able to find some stunning beaches in Malgrat de Mar, too, which are the main draw for a lot of visitors. The central beach, L'Astillero beach and Tordera Mouth beach will all provide us with sunbathing spots to enjoy a fun break in the sun.

Day One - Depart UK
In the morning of day one, we’ll make the journey from the UK to Malgrat de Mar, which will see us travelling via Calais. From there, we’ll travel through the night on our overnight express coach to arrive at the Hotel Sorra D’or in Malgrat de Mar.
Day Two - Arrive in Malgrat de Mar
We arrive in Malgrat de Mar late morning and have time to settle into our hotel for our first night in-resort. (D)
Days Three to Seven - Malgrat de Mar
We'll spend another five days in wonderful Malgrat de Mar, enjoying two included excursions during our time there and making the most of our days relaxing in the sunshine. (B,L,D)
Day Eight - Depart Malgrat de Mar
As our holiday draws to a close, we’ll say goodbye to Malgrat de Mar and will travel to Calais. (B,L)
Day Nine - Arrive in UK
We’ll then return to the UK via Calais, and will take the coach back to our local joining points.

Boasting an excellent beachfront location, the Hotel Sorra D'or is just a few minutes walk from Malgrat de Mar's old town.
Facilities at the hotel include a large sun terrace, swimming pool, gardens and a full entertainment programme every day and night.
Close to Malgrat de Mar’s shops, bars and restaurants, the Hotel Sorra D'Or is the ideal location for a relaxing holiday on the Costa Brava.
Full Day: Barcelona
Barcelona is the fourth most visited in city in Europe and is a lively and exciting place to discover. Especially remarkable is the work of architect Antoni Gaudí, which can be seen throughout the city. His best-known work is the unfinished church of the Sagrada Família, which has been under construction since 1882.
Half Day: Local Market
We take a trip down the Costa Brava to the town of Blanes. The local markets here are full of vibrancy and charm with a huge number of different stalls selling a wide range of produce. The fruit and vegetable markets are where farmers come from across Catalonia in order to sell their produce, the most popular crops in the region are apples, pears and peaches. There is also a fresh fish market near the harbour and an indoor market which sells a variety of souvenirs and trinkets. If you're not interested in retail therapy, the town has a charming marina and makes for a lovely place to stroll around and enjoy the atmosphere.
Barcelona Sightseeing Tour
Discover some of Barcelona’s very best attractions and landmarks during our exciting sightseeing tour, so you can see more of this incredible city. Drive through the city and learn more about the Catalonian capital’s interesting history while admiring its beautiful sights. From Gaudi’s famous architecture to the city’s bustling shopping districts and historical attractions, we’ll get to explore further with our sightseeing tour.
Barcelona Fountains By Night
One of Barcelona’s main attractions is the Magic Fountain of Montjuic. This fantastic fountain can be found in the Montjuic neighbourhood and is located below the elegant steps up to the Palau Nacional on Montjuic hill.
In the evenings, this fountain is transformed into a magnificent light and water show, with music to accompany this spectacular performance.

Beaslu was an important town during the Middle Ages with its territory extending as far as France and being designated a historic national property by the Spanish government in 1966. The town is particularly famous for its 12th century bridge over the Fluvia River. It is a great place to wander through history with a number of buildings dating back almost 1000 years, still laid out in their original street configuration.
Girona is one of Catalonia’s major cities, and our trip here will be spent at leisure, so we can discover this excellent location to our hearts’ content. With lots of sights to enjoy, we’re sure to be kept busy during our visit!
There are the ancient city walls and towers, which mark the entrance to Girona’s Old Town, plus Girona Cathedral, dating from 1015. This cathedral is home to the world’s widest Gothic nave, although it isn’t the only prominent religious building in Girona - there’s also the Sant Pere de Galligants church, and the Collegiate Church of Sant Feliu.
