Malgrat de Mar will be our base for this exciting holiday, where we’ll stay in order to get the most out of our relaxing break.
Your hotel will be the Hotel Reymar located in the centre of town overlooking the beach. With shops, bars, cafes and restaurants on its doorstep it is a great base to explore. During your stay you have the option of a number of excursions including the beautiful city of Barcelona and to a local market to pick up some souvenirs.

Day One - Depart UK
Fly from your chosen airport to Spain and transfer to the Hotel Reymar in Malgrat de Mar. (D)

Day Two to Seven – Malgrat de Mar
We'll spend the following six days in wonderful Malgrat de Mar, enjoying our time here and making the most of our days relaxing in the sunshine.

We will also enjoy two included excursions while here; we take a trip to Barcelona where we will have free time to explore fabulous sights around the city including the Sagrada Familia and the Nou Camp. We will also have an excursion to a local market where you can pick up a variety of goods and great food, particularly fresh fruit that this area is known for.

There are a number of optional tours available to enjoy while in Malgrat, including a trip to see Barcelona’s fountains by night or take a guided city tour while in the city. You can also join us for a trip to the Cava Caves including a scenic drive along the Costa Brava coast and a half day trip to the ancient town of Besalu.

Of course you will also have plenty of time in and around Malgrat de Mar to explore this pretty seaside town which retains an air of Spanish charm. (B,L,D)

Day Eight - Depart Malgrat de Mar
We’ll transfer to the airport and fly back to the UK, before continuing home. (B)

Barcelona Sightseeing Tour

Discover some of Barcelona’s very best attractions and landmarks during our exciting sightseeing tour, so you can see more of this incredible city. Drive through the city and learn more about the Catalonian capital’s interesting history while admiring its beautiful sights. From Gaudi’s famous architecture to the city’s bustling shopping districts and historical attractions, we’ll get to explore further with our sightseeing tour.


Barcelona Fountains By Night

One of Barcelona’s main attractions is the Magic Fountain of Montjuic. This fantastic fountain can be found in the Montjuic neighbourhood and is located below the elegant steps up to the Palau Nacional on Montjuic hill.

In the evenings, this fountain is transformed into a magnificent light and water show, with music to accompany this spectacular performance.

Full Day: Barcelona

The Catalan capital, Barcelona is a fantastic city to explore at leisure, with its wonderful architecture and bustling atmosphere. Admire Antoni Gaudi’s incredible Modernist creations, including the as-yet-unfinished Sagrada Familia, and spend time shopping along the famous Las Ramblas boulevard.

This mesmerising city is known for its excellent attractions as much for its delicious cuisine, so be sure to sample some of the local food during our time here!



Girona is one of Catalonia’s major cities, and our trip here will be spent at leisure, so we can discover this excellent location to our hearts’ content. With lots of sights to enjoy, we’re sure to be kept busy during our visit!

There are the ancient city walls and towers, which mark the entrance to Girona’s Old Town, plus Girona Cathedral, dating from 1015. This cathedral is home to the world’s widest Gothic nave, although it isn’t the only prominent religious building in Girona - there’s also the Sant Pere de Galligants church, and the Collegiate Church of Sant Feliu.


Half Day: Besalu

Enjoy an exciting excursion to explore the nearby town of Besalu, a historical national property since 1966. Here, we’ll find amazing medieval cobbled streets and facades, as well as the well-known 12th-century Romanesque bridge over the Fluvia River.


Half Day: Local Market

We make our way to a fantastic local market to enjoy a wide variety of local specialties, available to sample and buy. With everything from freshly caught seafood to delicious fresh fruits and expertly crafted olive oils, we'll have a wonderful time at a traditional Spanish market.
