Bruges Christmas Market
When it comes to Christmas markets in Belgium, the Bruges market is without a doubt one of the best. The natural beauty of this historic capital city is second to none, and it’s only emphasised by the pretty twinkling lights of the Christmas market. Bruges is well-known for its delicious chocolate, and this Christmas market will certainly not disappoint on this front!
Brussels Christmas Market
After lunch we’ll journey to the nearby Brussels Christmas Market by coach to spend the late afternoon and evening enjoying the holiday spirit. The Winter Wonders Christmas Market is always a sight for sore eyes, with its illuminations and fun, festive decorations. Watch as people skate around the ice rink, or enjoy a trip on the Big Wheel to look out over Brussels. Don’t forget to indulge in some mulled wine and other Christmas treats from the many stalls at the market, and be sure to take lots of pictures! Whilst in Brussels there will be the opportunity to join our optional guided city tour.
Lille Christmas Market
Lille's elegant medieval centre fully embraces the Christmas spirit. Traditionally held at Place Rihour it is adourned with decorations, colourful lights and market stalls. In the main square a huge ferris wheel is erected giving visitors a chance to view Lille in all it's festive glory.
Bruges Guided Walking Tour
Bruges is a fascinating city, and we’ll be able to enjoy a guided walking tour of the city while we’re there. This will provide us with more information about the city, as well as showing us some of the most famous attractions and landmarks.
Guided city tour of Brussels
Brussels is perhaps most famous for the Grand Place, the city’s main square which is surrounded by ornate medieval guildhalls. Our guided city tour of Brussels will show us the many other amazing attractions and sights here too, so we can enjoy this city to the fullest extent.
From Bruges we’ll make our way to Sluis in neighbouring Holland, where we’ll have free time to explore this enticing town. With its popular shopping areas and lovely atmosphere, it’s easy to fall in love with this excellent destination. Sluis is often thought of as the most Flemish town in the Netherlands, and its Flemish-style belfry certainly proves this!
