Some of the most famous places we’ll be able to visit at leisure while in the city include Ca' d'Oro, the Doge's Palace and the Clock Tower, as well as the Museum of Natural History and the Venice Academy Gallery. There’s also the Basilica di San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs, Rialto Bridge and the famous Grand Canal.
Verona is one of the most famous cities in Italy thanks to its connections with Shakespeare, who set two of his plays in this historic setting. Romeo and Juliet is still synonymous with the city, and there are a number of related attractions we’ll be able to enjoy at leisure. Nestled in the valley of the river Mincio, the village dates from ancient times and is rich with medieval architecture and buildings, such as the village's walls and gates.
After our time here, we continue to visit Mantova, a beautiful city in the Lombardy region. The city is the Italian Capital of Culture for 2016, and its historical Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore at leisure to take in the many sights here.
