Discover some of the scenery Italy is famous for with an amazing holiday to Lake Garda. From our base just north of Lake Garda, we’ll explore this destination’s incredible sights during our relaxing break. We’ll experience the beautiful towns and villages of north and south Lake Garda, and the astounding city of Venice.
Our wonderful holiday to Lake Garda will see us starting in Arco, situated north of the lake, at the Hotel Villa Delle Rose. We’ll enjoy all inclusive hotel accommodation, and we’ll have three excellent included excursions to look forward to.
Beginning with a north Lake Garda tour, this will serve as a fantastic introduction to this astounding location, as we discover the picturesque scenery here. The next day, we’ll make our way to one of Italy’s most famous cities - Venice. With its winding canals and pretty bridges, as well as its amazing architecture and captivating culture, this city has it all. Explore at leisure to discover the many incredible attractions here, from the Grand Canal to St Mark's Square.The final included excursion on our holiday will allow us to experience the towns and villages to the south of Lake Garda. Take in the beautiful alleyways and lakefront promenades in these hugely popular locations to find out why Lake Garda is such as famous holiday destination.

Day One - UK to Arco
We’ll fly to Italy from a local airport and will then transfer to Lake Garda, where we’ll stay in Arco at the Hotel Villa Delle Rose. (D)
Days Two to Six - Arco
We'll spend another five days in wonderful Arco, enjoying three included excursions during our time here. We’ll explore the towns and villages both north and south of Lake Garda, taking in the beautiful scenery during our excursions, and we’ll also make our way to the vibrant city of Venice. In addition to this, we’ll have the opportunity to explore further with a selection of optional excursions. (B,L,D)
Day Seven - Depart Arco
As our holiday draws to a close, we’ll say goodbye to Arco and will travel to the airport for our return flight to the UK. (B,L)

Full Day: North Lake Garda Tour
Discover the delightful lakeside villages of Malcesine and Riva del Garda as we take a relaxing tour of northern Lake Garda. Malcesine is a beautiful and quintessential Lake Garda town with narrow winding streets and a 14th century castle that gives fantastic views of the town and lake from its clock tower. Riva del Garda has a beautiful little port, with houses tightly packed around the waters edge.
Full Day: South Lake Garda
Enjoy a day on the shores of Lake Garda where you can explore the delightful alleyways and lakefront promenades of some of the most popular locations on the South of the lake.
Full Day: Venice
For an entire day, we’ll explore the beautiful city of Venice, where we’ll find beautiful architecture, fascinating history and vibrant culture. Venice is one of the most interesting cities in the world, with its winding canals and reputation for being the birthplace (and adopted home) of many amazing musicians.
Today, Venice is an extraordinary city with lots to discover, from museums to art galleries, monuments to bridges, and everything in between. Some of the most famous places we’ll be able to visit at leisure while in the city include Ca' d'Oro, the Doge's Palace and the Clock Tower, as well as the Museum of Natural History and the Venice Academy Gallery. There’s also the Basilica di San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs, Rialto Bridge and the famous Grand Canal.
Full Day: Verona
Verona is one of Italy’s most romantic cities, thanks to the fact that Shakespeare chose this city to set his romantic tragedy Romeo and Juliet. While the couple were purely fictional, there are many attractions which claim by local legend to have once set the scene for Romeo and Juliet. For example, there’s Juliet’s House, where we’ll find the balcony Romeo is said to have serenaded his love, as well as the Basilica di San Zeno where the two were supposedly married in secret. There’s also Juliet’s tomb, which is said to be located within San Francesco al Corso church.
Aside from this, there are many other attractions to enjoy in Verona, such as the Piazza delle Erbe, which was once the site of the Roman Forum in the city, and Lamberti Tower. There’s a Roman Theatre and Archaeological Museum to enjoy as well, and the impressive Verona Cathedral.
Half Day: Lakes and Castles
We’ll enjoy a nice leisurely drive this morning, travelling through the Trentino region and admiring some stunning scenery along the way. We’ll make our way along the northern end of Lake Garda, passing the beautiful Lago di Toblino, as well as the pastel-coloured lake Lago di Tenno, which we’ll be able to enjoy a walk down to during a short break - don’t forget your camera!
We’ll also get the chance to see castles such as Drena Castle and Toblino Castle, a 12th-century fortress.
Limone Lake Cruise
While we’re in Lake Garda, we'll get to take a superb Limone Lake cruise to see the beautiful landscape of the North lake. The town of Limone is at the bottom of a 1000m high massif, and gives astounding views across the lake to the even higher mountains about the town Malcesine. This cruise will leave you awe-inspired by the stunning scenery at this end of the lake with the views of the mountains being some of the most fantastic in Italy.
Sirmione Lake Cruise
Join us on a relaxing cruise along the shores of Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy.
Sit back and enjoy a leisurely cruise around the island of Sirmione on the local tourist boat. Admire the sights of the stunning villa, which is owned by the opera singer Maria Callas. As well as this, we’ll discover the ancient Roman baths, known as the Grotee di Catullo, which are the largest Roman baths in the north of Italy, and the intriguing hot springs located 200 metres from the. We conclude our cruise at Scaliger Castle, where we disembark.
The attractive small town of Sirmione stands at the tip of the peninsula that bears the same name, on the south shores of Lake Garda.
Walking across the drawbridge, you will be met with spectacular views, interesting piazzas, narrow streets and a town filled with vibrant colours.
Venice Gondola Ride
Experience Venice from its famous canals as we take an optional gondola ride. See the beautiful architecture, while travelling along these busy waterways and enjoying the pleasant atmosphere. Venice is well-known for its canals, which connect this floating city, and our optional excursion will give us a chance to admire one of Italy’s most beautiful cities from a different perspective.
Verona Guided Walking Tour
While we’re in Verona, we’ll be able to enjoy an excellent guided walking tour of the city to find out more about its past, and to see its best sights. With an expert guide, we’ll explore more of this wonderful location and will learn all about its heritage.
