Itinerary

Monday
We depart the interchange and travel to Windermere where we check into our hotel enjoying a welcome drink on arrival and later our evening meal. (D)

Tuesday to Thursday
We spend the next three days in pretty Windermere on the shores of Lake Windermere during which time we will enjoy two great excursions to discover the very best of the Lake District.

Keswick is the main town in the north of the Lakes, while Grasmere is one of the most beautiful villages in the lakes, if not the entire country. We will visit both places on an excursion, in Keswick discover the beauty of Derwentwater and a number of pubs in the towns market square. While in delightful Keswick take a walk around the lake here, which takes about an hour from the village centre. When you arrive back sample some of Sarah Nelson’s world famous Grasmere gingerbread.

We will also take a mountain goat tour of the lakes, taking in some of the off the beaten track locations that our coach cannot reach.

The other day in Windermere will be allocated as free time and you have a great chance to explore the town of Windermere and the lake which is a 15 minute walk from the hotel. (B,D)

Friday

After breakfast we depart and travel home via the interchange. (B)
