Full Day: Jersey Island Tour
While we’re in Jersey on our holiday, we’ll be able to go on an exciting included excursion. This will take us around the island on an interesting sightseeing tour, and the coach tour will give us a chance to find out more about the history of Jersey. With a military history including the invasion of Jersey in the Second World War, plus an intriguing maritime past, there’s a lot of learn about Jersey! The tour will also open our eyes to the many beautiful landscapes on the island.
Half Day Guernsey Island Tour
We'll take a half day tour of the Island of Guernsey. The scenic island has a number of villages that have been awarded prizes for their beauty. In particular, the village of Saint Martin has won Britain in Bloom's small town category twice over the past few years. Strewn across the island at strategic points are a number of defensive towers, many of which have a rich history and reflect Guernsey's position as one of the defensive outposts of the UK in times gone by. Look out for these at various points as we drive.
Half Day: Herm Island
Following a coach transfer to St Peter Port, you will board the ferry for the 15 minute crossing to Herm. The island is a little patch of paradise, home to just 60 people there are a couple of sights here, but the best way to use your time may well be to relax and take in the scenery.
St Tugual's Church has stood here since the 11th century and is the major site on the island. Other attractions include the White House Hotel and the Obelisk on the common. Otherwise take a stroll along this beautiful, car free island, which can be explored fully, only measuring 1.5 miles long.
