Europe's magical Christmas Markets are truly a sight to behold. Each offers the chance to pick up something a little bit different, with unusual handicrafts, local delicacies and delightful decorations. So why not treat someone special, or yourself, to a unique Christmas gift?
This picturesque region, boasting conifer-covered hills and half-timbered towns is the perfect Christmas markets setting.
Day One: UK to Belgium
We start our journey as we head to Calais. From here we continue into Belgium and to our overnight hotel in Belgium.
Day Two: Belgium to Goslar
We depart after breakfast and make our way into Germany and to our hotel in Goslar. En route we make a stop at Kassel Christmas Market for free time to visit the festive stalls. (B,D)
Day Three to Five: Goslar
Enjoy time to relax and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere in the lovely medieval town of Goslar, whose historic centre is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Soak up the festive atmosphere and join our included excursion to visit Quedlinburg and Wernigerode. (B,D)
H+ Hotel Goslar
The H+ Hotel Goslar is situated near parkland in a residential area on the edge of Goslar, close to the amenities of the romantic old town.

En Route: Hamelin
During our holiday, we'll make an en route stop at Hamelin. Found on the River Weser, Hamelin is a lovely German town, famous for its folk tale of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. Discover the town’s beautiful scenery and admire its wonderful architecture during our free time here.
En Route: Kassel Christmas Market
We enjoy an en route stop at the fantastic Kassel Christmas Market for free time. Explore this wonderful market to soak up the festive atmosphere, and perhaps pick up a few souvenirs!
Quedlinburg and Wernigerode
We enjoy a wonderful excursion to visit charming Quedlinburg, known for its beautiful medieval architecture and heritage. We continue to Wernigerode, where the multitude of half-timbered houses forms the perfect backdrop for the many festive stalls.
