Included Excursions

Full Day: France

We enjoy an excursion by ferry to France. Upon arrival at Calais we make our way to Boulogne-sur-Mer with some free time for sightseeing. Rising above the lower town is an attractive medieval quarter contained within the old town walls and dominated by a grand, domed cathedral whilst the town centre provides a bustling mix of restaurants, cafés, shops and a delightful cobbled square overlooked by the ancient church of St Nicolas. Then we enjoy a scenic drive along the stunning Cote d'Opale before our return ferry journey.

Half Day: Canterbury

Join our jaunt to beautiful Canterbury, set on the River Stour in an attractive corner of rural Kent. Canterbury's skyline is dominated by the stunning cathedral but this is only part of the story; the ancient ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church form Canterbury's UNESCO World Heritage Site while other ancient ruins such as the Castle are reminders of the city's history, heritage and culture.
