Kufstein is a quaint little town, just over the border from Bavaria, and we’ll be based there during this festive holiday. We’ll be staying at the Andreas Hofer, which is a comfortable family-run hotel, located in the town centre.
During our break, we’ll take a trip to the beautiful Salzburg, famous for being the setting for The Sound of Music. We’ll also enjoy a carriage ride and travel to Innsbruck to spend some time exploring this historic city. Our final visit will be to the lovely town of Rattenberg.

Day One - UK to Germany
Today we’ll begin our journey travelling over to Calais and on to our overnight hotel in Germany.

Day Two - Germany to Kufstein
After breakfast, we’ll continue to Kufstein, where we’ll arrive at the Hotel Andreas Hofer for our four-night stay. (B,D)

Day Three - Salzburg
On Christmas Eve, we’ll visit the beautiful city of Salzburg, then return to our hotel for dinner this evening. (B,D)

Day Four - Kufstein
Christmas Day will be spent relaxing at our hotel. Why not take a leisurely stroll in the town this morning, then enjoy a Christmas lunch at the hotel and later this evening a three-course dinner. (B,L,D)

Day Five - Innsbruck & Rattenberg
Today, we'll enjoy a traditional carriage ride to enjoy the surrounding scenery, as well as visiting, Innsbruck and Rattenberg. Back at our hotel, enjoy a farewell dinner with traditional live music. (B,D)

Day Six - Kufstein to Belgium
We’ll say goodbye to Kufstein today and will travel back to Belgium, where we’ll stop overnight. (B,D)

Day Seven - Belgium to UK
In the morning, we’ll journey across from Calais and then returning to our local joining points. (B)

Kufstein is a busy little town, just over the border from Bavaria, known as 'the Pearl of the Tyrol'. The Andreas Hofer is a comfortable and modern family-run hotel in the town centre.

Included Excursions

Full Day: Salzburg

The city of Salzburg makes for an excellent excursion, the city famous for being home to the Sound of Music. Enjoy the old town with its impressive fortress and cathedral, take time out to visit the house where Mozart was born or relax in the Mirabell Gardens.

There are numerous architectural styles to be found in Salzburg, including Romanesque, gothic, renaissance, baroque and many more modern styles. We’ll be able to admire this architecture throughout our visit, as well as exploring the city itself to see its many attractions.


Full Day: Carriage ride, Innsbruck And Rattenberg

Today we’ll see some wonderful scenery around the Tyrol. First we'll enjoy a carriage ride, before continuing on our journey to visit Innsbruck, where the city is filled with interesting monuments, such as the Triumphal Arch and the city’s Old Town.

From there, we’ll journey to the charming town of Rattenberg, where the Rat Mountain forms a backdrop to the town. Stroll along the quaint main street, where we’ll find numerous shops selling the crystal glass the town is famous for.


Optional Excursions

Guided walking tour of Innsbruck

To learn more about Innsbruck, and to take in even more of the splendid sights, we’ll also be able to join an optional guided walking tour of the city. This will give us greater insight into Innsbruck’s history, and will allow us to tour more of the city.
