There will be time to explore the beautiful town of Eastbourne and we have included a half day excursion to the charming town of Bexhill-on-sea. Our hotel during our stay will be the Burlington, an elegant hotel with a Grade II listed façade, it enjoys fantastic views of the seafront.

    Bexhill on sea
    Half Day to Bexhill-on-Sea
We visit Bexhill-on-Sea which has been an important strategic position since the Napoleonic Wars. Its military importance is exhibited by the remains of a WWII military bunker at the top of Galley Hill from where you also have great views of Dover and the White Cliffs. The bunker is mentioned in the memoirs of comedian Spike Milligan when reflecting on his time in Bexhill during the Second World War. Otherwise, simply take a stroll along the long promenade or the town’s award winning beach.

    International Eastbourne

Get ready for a day of top level sport as we visit Eastbourne’s Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club. The club has hosted lawn tennis since the 1870s, and the International Eastbourne since its inception in 1974. Past winners of this prestigious title include Martina Navratilova, Karoline Wozniaki, Andy Roddick and Novak Djokovic. Expect many of the world’s best to be in attendance again this year with Johanna Konta having already signalled her intention to attend yet again. Can she do better than last year when she lost in the semi-finals and go the whole way?

Please note that transfers to and from Devonshire Park are not included.
