Days Two - Four:
We spend the next three days in Rushyford, with three included excursions to discover the beauty and heritage of the North East.
We visit stunning Durham, one of the country's most important and historic cities, with thousands of years’ worth of people and stories to discover at the UNESCO World Heritage sites of the Cathedral and Castle.
From the North East’s most important city historically, to its most important currently. We visit Newcastle, famous for its art, sport, history and nightlife where you will have free time to discover this great city.
The final place we visit is the seaside town of Hartlepool, where you will have the chance to discover the maritime history of the town.
After breakfast at the hotel we checkout and travel home via the interchange. (B)

We enjoy an excursion to Durham, in the ‘Land of the Prince Bishops’, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During free time take the chance to see and explore the magnificent cathedral, Norman castle, medieval streets and riverside walks which all combine to make an unforgettable visit. Or hire a pleasure boat and take a trip along the river for great views of the city from a different perspective.
We'll take a trip to the historical maritime town of Hartlepool the old fishing town now attracts tourists anting to discover the town and the area's nautical past. The award-winning attractions of the town include the historic harbour run by the National Museum of the Royal Navy which contains the oldest Navy ship still afloat, the HMS Trincomalee. Or head to one of the many beautiful beaches nearby. Steetley Pier Beach offers fantastic solitude and stunning golden sands and is just outside the town centre.
From the moment you first spot the iconic Tyne Bridge until you leave, you won't run out of things to see and do while you're in the fantastic city of Newcastle. Whether you want to enjoy some retail therapy at the boutique shops of the Central Arcade or you fancy taking in some history at the remains of the Castle there's something for everyone. There's also the great museums spread across the city including the Great North Museum and University Galleries, after all that why not sample one of the many pubs the city is famous for?
