Charlecote Pheasant Hotel
The Charlecote Pheasant is the perfect base for exploring this historic region around the West Midlands. The hotel is set in an old farmhouse amid beautiful gardens and amazing countryside meaning you will be in quaint and pleasant surroundings throughout your stay.
Charlecote Park is just across the road from the hotel and the National Trust property is a great place to simply wander around looking out for one of the many deer who call the park their home. Beautiful villages surround the hotel with fabulous country pubs and small tea rooms such as Hampton Lucy and Wellesbourne which are perfect to explore on a sunny day.
Travelling a little further afield you can visit the historic towns of Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick. Stratford-upon-Avon is just less than 20 minutes away by bus or car and was the birthplace of William Shakespeare and a traditional Tudor town where there are a number of attractions concerning the era. Warwick Castle is a great place to learn about medieval history and is just less than a 15 minute drive or half an hour bus ride away.
The hotel is a historic farmhouse with a beautiful courtyard with outside seating. Stroll around the grounds or enjoy a game of tennis at the onsite court. The hotel’s restaurant is a stylish venue serving tasty breakfast and evening meals, after which you can enjoy a delicious tipple from our gin-parlour menu in the cosy lounge.
Our scenic drive today will take us across the Cromarty Firth, as we explore the stunning Black Isle. This is a rather special and mysterious corner of Scotland, with its own set of customs and a fascinating culture. We’ll get to admire the wonderful landscape here during our drive and the views across to Dingwall, Ben Wyvis, Fyrish, Invergordon, INverness and the Monadhlith Mountains.
