Day One – Home to Stratford-upon-Avon
We’ll make our way from the interchange to Stratford-upon-Avon, where we’ll check in to The Charlecote Pheasant and enjoy an evening meal. (D)

Days Two – Four – in and around Stratford-upon-Avon
During our three day stay close to Stratford-upon-Avon we will enjoy three included excursions. We visit the nearby town of Leamington Spa, while here take the opportunity to wander around and see the historic Regency architecture of the town's heyday.

We will take a short trip into Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare which has now become a place of homage to the play write and the Tudor era in which he lived. 

We also visit Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Winston Churchill which at this time of year will be decked out with thousands of Christmas decorations making this beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site even more spectacular.

You will have free time to explore around the hotel, which is just across the road from Charlecote Park, a beautiful country house that dates from Tudor times. (B,D)

Day Five – Stratford-upon-Avon to Home
Time to say goodbye today; we depart after breakfast and make our way to the interchange before returning home. (B)

The Charlecote Pheasant is the perfect base for exploring this historic region around the West Midlands. The hotel is set in an old farmhouse amid beautiful gardens and amazing countryside meaning you will be in quaint and pleasant surroundings throughout your stay.

Charlecote Park is just across the road from the hotel and the National Trust property is a great place to simply wander around looking out for one of the many deer who call the park their home.  Beautiful villages surround the hotel with fabulous country pubs and small tea rooms such as Hampton Lucy and Wellesbourne which are perfect to explore on a sunny day.

Travelling a little further afield you can visit the historic towns of Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick. Stratford-upon-Avon is just less than 20 minutes away by bus or car and was the birthplace of William Shakespeare and a traditional Tudor town where there are a number of attractions concerning the era. Warwick Castle is a great place to learn about medieval history and is just less than a 15 minute drive or half an hour bus ride away.

The hotel is a historic farmhouse with a beautiful courtyard with outside seating. Stroll around the grounds or enjoy a game of tennis at the onsite court. The hotel’s restaurant is a stylish venue serving tasty breakfast and evening meals, after which you can enjoy a delicious tipple from our gin-parlour menu in the cosy lounge.

Enjoy an excursion to magnificent Blenheim Palace where you can start your Christmas in style. The only privately-owned UNESCO World Heritage Site, well-known as the birthplace of Winston Churchill, is beautifully decorated at this time of year and our visit will really get you into the festive spirit!
