Day One - UK to France
We’ll make our way from the UK to France, via Calais, and will spend the night at a comfortable hotel.
Day Two - France to Werfenweng
In the morning, we’ll continue our journey into Werfenweng, where we’ll stay at the Hotel Zistelberghof for the next five nights. (B,D)
Days Three to Six - Werfenweng
Time to enjoy a wonderful Christmas holiday, as we take an included excursion to Salzburg, as well as enjoying a sleigh ride in Werfenweng and spending a day discovering Austria’s famous lakes. We’ll spend Christmas Day at our hotel, including a Christmas lunch. (B,D)
Day Seven - Werfenweng to France
We’ll say goodbye to Werfenweng today, as we head to France, staying at a comfortable hotel overnight. (B,D)
Day Eight - France to UK
We’ll return to the UK today, travelling via Calais and then continuing home. (B)

Full Day: Salzburg
The city of Salzburg makes for an excellent excursion, the city famous for being home to the Sound of Music. Enjoy the old town with its impressive fortress and cathedral, take time out to visit the house where Mozart was born or relax in the Mirabell Gardens.
There are numerous architectural styles to be found in Salzburg, including Romanesque, gothic, renaissance, baroque and many more modern styles. We’ll be able to admire this architecture throughout our visit, as well as exploring the city itself to see its many attractions.
Celebrate the festive season in one of the best ways possible - with a wonderful carriage ride. Admire the beautiful scenery and make the most of this unique experience!
Half Day: Austrian Lakes
The Austrian lakes are known for their stunning beauty, and we’ll take a tour to some of them during this excellent excursion. No matter what time of year it is, this area is always attractive, and we’ll get to admire the natural beauty of the location throughout this excursion. Weather permitting, we’ll also enjoy a relaxing cruise on one of the Salzkammergut’s most famous lakes - Lake Wolfgang. With its beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere, it’s easy to see why this lake is so popular.
Half Day: Hallstatt
Join us on an optional excursion to visit the village of Hallstatt. Located close to stunning Lake Hallstatt, this charming town is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend time admiring the scenic views across the lake, or perhaps take a relaxing stroll along the lakeside.
Salzburg Guided City Tour
The city of Salzburg is known for its splendid architecture, much of which is in the extraordinary baroque style. It’s also known for its use in the ‘Sound of Music’ with the grand views seen in the film visible in real life in the city. We’ll take a guided city tour to uncover Salzburg’s history and to see the sights in this captivating city.
