Treat yourself to a very special Christmas this year, celebrating in style with sumptuous meals and comfortable accommodation at the Hotel Caesius, plus enjoying delightful sightseeing excursions. We’ll visit the amazing cities of Venice and Verona, as well as spending time in Trento and visiting the winery there.
There will be lots to see and do during this holiday, as we stay in charming Bardolino just a short distance from Verona. Not only this, but we’ll also have three excellent excursions to look forward to, so we can enjoy a wonderful Christmas break by beautiful Lake Garda.
Situated on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, Bardolino boasts a superb location, and we’ll be able to admire the lovely views here throughout our holiday. We’ll begin our holiday with a trip to Trento with its spectacular markets, followed by a wine tasting at the Ferrari Winery.
Our next included excursion will take us to fair Verona, famous for its connections with Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers – Romeo and Juliet. In Verona, we’ll have free time to explore, so we can see attractions such as the Verona Arena, the Porta Borsari, the Piazza dei Signori and much more.
After this, we’ll take a trip to the elegant city of Venice, where we’ll be able to enjoy the festive atmosphere while admiring many famous sights. From the Grand Canal to Piazza San Marco, there’s something for everyone here.

Hotel Caesius Thermae And Spa Resort
The luxurious four-star superior Hotel Caesius boasts superb facilities and is located just a few steps away from Lake Garda. Here you can relax in one of the hotel's swimming pools and achieve a balance of body, mind and soul at the Caesius Wellness Centre. Situated in the popular lake side resort of Bardolino, the hotel's position is perfect for exploring nearby lakeside towns and villages, as well as the iconic cities of Verona and Venice.
Full Day: Trento Christmas markets and Ferrari wine tasting
With over 70 wooden huts selling all manner of Christmas-themed goods and handcrafted wares, as well as many delicious cakes, delicacies and foods we’ll be able to enjoy there and then, the Trento Christmas Market is absolutely fantastic.
Located on the Piazza Fiera and Piazza Cesare Battisti, the market is one of the city’s most popular winter events. We’ll visit for a full day, and will be able to buy Christmas decorations, gifts, and more, and there will be more than enough mulled wine and hot toddy to sample while we’re there!
The twinkling lights and attractive scenery will certainly help to make this excursion all the more special.
We’ll also visit Ferrari Trento winery and enjoy a tasting of Ferrari Brut & Ferrari Perle 2009 to understand the difference between vintage and non-vintage products. What better way to get in the festive spirit than with a glass or two of fizz!?
Full Day: Venice
For an entire day, we’ll explore the beautiful city of Venice, where we’ll find beautiful architecture, fascinating history and vibrant culture. Venice is one of the most interesting cities in the world, with its winding canals and reputation for being the birthplace (and adopted home) of many amazing musicians.
Today, Venice is an extraordinary city with lots to discover, from museums to art galleries, monuments to bridges, and everything in between. Some of the most famous places we’ll be able to visit at leisure while in the city include Ca' d'Oro, the Doge's Palace and the Clock Tower, as well as the Museum of Natural History and the Venice Academy Gallery. There’s also the Basilica di San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs, Rialto Bridge and the famous Grand Canal.
Full Day: Verona
Verona is one of Italy’s most romantic cities, thanks to the fact that Shakespeare chose this city to set his romantic tragedy Romeo and Juliet. While the couple were purely fictional, there are many attractions which claim by local legend to have once set the scene for Romeo and Juliet. For example, there’s Juliet’s House, where we’ll find the balcony Romeo is said to have serenaded his love, as well as the Basilica di San Zeno where the two were supposedly married in secret. There’s also Juliet’s tomb, which is said to be located within San Francesco al Corso church.
Aside from this, there are many other attractions to enjoy in Verona, such as the Piazza delle Erbe, which was once the site of the Roman Forum in the city, and Lamberti Tower. There’s a Roman Theatre and Archaeological Museum to enjoy as well, and the impressive Verona Cathedral.

Discover the magical city of Romeo and Juliet. Take a trip to see the Juliet’s House and its famous balcony. See the impressive Roman influence including the arena, castle, Roman gate and examples of many magnificent churches waiting to be discovered.
Venice Gondola Ride
Experience Venice from its famous canals as we take an optional gondola ride. See the beautiful architecture, while travelling along these busy waterways and enjoying the pleasant atmosphere. Venice is well-known for its canals, which connect this floating city, and our optional excursion will give us a chance to admire one of Italy’s most beautiful cities from a different perspective.
