Excursion to Lancaster
Today we'll enjoy a trip to the historic city of Lancaster with free time to explore. Lancaster Castle is a highlight, rich in history from the origins of the Tudor dynasty to its associations with the Pendle Witches. Take a walk through Williamson Park and climb to the top of the Ashton memorial for great views over Lancaster and the windswept peninsula between the River Lune and Morecambe Bay. Or simply enjoy some retail therapy or a bite to eat at one of Lancaster’s many award winning restaurants!
Lake District and Bowness-on-Windermere
Today we’ll be treated to an excursion travelling through lush countryside to discover the charm and beauty of the glorious Lake District. We'll then enjoy free time to explore delightful Bowness, on the shores of Lake Windermere. You will have plenty of time to enjoy a ferry ride on the lake, one of the best ways to see the landscapes of the lakes. Staying in town you can explore the life and writings of Beatrix Potter at the museum dedicated to her in its centre. Otherwise simply enjoy the location on the lakeside and relax on The Glebe overlooking the water.
